William and Ifamy moved to Mooresville Indiana ca 1843. They moved to Greenup, Illinois ca 1855

I have found records showing several names for the wife of William Alson, namely: Issabe, Ifamy, Ifama, and I, Pheobe. If I read the copy of the marriage license as it is written, her first name could be Elizabeth, yet, years ago the old handwriting made the double ss (Such as in Miss) written like a p. so the Eliz could be Miss. Per the copy of the marriage license, William Haegey and Leonard Phillipy/Phillipe signed the bond. Leonard Phillipie married Margaret Coble 21 Feb 1805. I wonder if perhaps Issahabe could have been born Phillipy? There is reason, no documentation, that Issahabewas married to a Peter Coble. and David before marring William Alson. the census listed David as a Hagy, but then as a young man he was known as Coble. There is a question if Isshabe was the daughter of Leonard and Maragaret.
F ii Sarah HAGEE was born on 12 Mar 1820 in Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina. She died on 2 Oct 1899 in Newton, Jasper, Illinois. She was buried in Brick Cemetery, Newton, Jasper, Illinois.

Information gathered from the "Hagey Families of America" and also from bible records furnished by John Mark Nees. Sarah and David went to Illinois in either Oct 1867 or 1876. On Sarah's marriage license it is written Sally Haggin.

They belonged to the Methodist Church of Newton, Illinois

M xii Jeremiah HAGEE 1 was born about 1844 in Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina. He died in 1898.

Jeremiah was said to be a very religious person. Simeon Riley Hagee stated in his journal that his uncle, JE Hagee lived in Texas for a time and then moved to Kansas. The book "Hagey Families of America" states that "Jeremiah removed to Vernon, Missouri.
A letter from Ellen written to the great-grandfather of John M. Nees asks for verification of information for pension purposes and needed affidavits of their marriage. At the time of the letter in 1897, they lived in Denver, Colorado. (Civil War Pension request was fifled in state of Colorado).
Also a letter in the possession of John M. Nees, dated Oct 1872, coming from Rosea (Roscoe), St Clair, Missouri which shares boundry line with Vernon, Missouri and both are next to the state of Kansas.
From records: "Jeremiah Hagey of Greenup, Cumberland, Illinois, dated 4 Feb 1867, appointed Daniel Monroe Neese in the vicinity of Shaw's Mills Post Office, Guilford, North Carolina, attorney, to sell or lease his land in the same neighborhood lying on the south side of John Sooth's lot containing 22 acres." Jeremiah served in the Union Army in the Civil War, in Company F of the 59 Illinois Infantry. He was inducted as a private and discharged as a sergeant.
Simon Riley Hagee stated in his journal that he thought Jeremiah had all girls, but the 1880 Federal Census of Tarrant, Texas show a son. Perhaps HH died as a very young child and that is why Simeon thought he had only girls. And yet I find a Harry Howard Hagey, who married a Sarah Frances Graham on 28 Jun 1900 in Warren, Illinois and his father was in Illinois.
