Bill Dennis Bergsma of Issaquah fell to his death while hiking in the Denny Creek area on Snoqualmie Pass August 16.
Services for Bergsma, 20, were held yesterday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery.
King County Police said Bergsma was hiking with a friend, Robert O'Brien, 16, of Issaquah, at about 5 p.m. when he fell.
O'Brien told police he felt a slight heart beat from Bergsma. He yelled for assistance from a hiker that was passing by. The two attempted to revive him, unsuccessfully.
A Forest Service rescue crew pronounced Bergsma dead when they reached him Sunday morning.
